Pro tip for Jason: Stripe offers a reduced rate of 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction for registered nonprofits and churches. At current volume that saves roughly $14/month. Apply through Stripe dashboard → Settings → Nonprofit Pricing. Requires 501(c)(3) documentation.

Mentor profiles are being added as the program launches. Every student in Paths 3 and 4 is matched with a mentor who commits to walking with them for the duration of the program and beyond. This relationship is not a formality. It is one of the most valuable parts of Bridge 938.

    Why the people matter

    You can read theology anywhere.
    You cannot find this anywhere.

The instructors, mentors, and coaches in Bridge 938 bring something no textbook or online course can replicate. Here is what that means for you.

They have lived what they teach

Every leader in Bridge 938 has personal experience in the areas they teach and mentor. Managing conflict in ministry is taught by someone who has managed it. Surviving hard seasons is taught by someone who survived them. This is not theoretical.

They are accountable to your growth

In a correspondence program, no one knows if you are growing or struggling. In Bridge 938, your mentor does. Your instructor does. The accountability structure is not there to evaluate you. It is there to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

These relationships do not end at graduation

The mentoring relationships built in Bridge 938 are designed to be lifelong. The goal is a Paul-Timothy relationship that outlasts the program itself. You will leave with people who know your calling, believe in it, and will continue to stand with you in it.

Rooted in Helena, invested in your future

Bridge 938 is a Bridge Helena program. The leaders behind it are your neighbors, your church family, and people who are genuinely invested in what God does in Helena and beyond. You are not a student number. You are a person they are choosing to invest in.

Spread across the full length of the program. Financial assistance is available and encouraged for Path 4 students.

    Financial assistance

Cost should never be the reason you say no.

Bridge 938 believes the model set out in the Book of Acts is about investing in people, not pricing them out. Three options exist to help make this financially possible for you.

    Sponsorship

Ask the people around you to partner with you financially on this journey. Family, friends, your home church, and even your employer are all encouraged. Bridge 938 can help you think through how to approach this conversation.

    Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available to apply for. If approved, the scholarship covers a portion of your overall program costs. Reach out to Bridge 938 to ask about current scholarship availability and how to apply.

    Fundraising

Bridge 938 supports fundraising efforts for students who need help covering costs. This is a real option, not a last resort. Many people in ministry have funded their training through people who believed in their calling.

Do not let cost be the reason you do not take this step. If you are serious about this and money is a barrier, reach out and have an honest conversation with Bridge 938. The goal is to make this possible for you, not to make it expensive.

    Other things to know about

A few costs that are your responsibility.

These are not program fees. They are practical things to be aware of and plan for.

    Transportation to Helena

Each student is responsible for their own transportation to and from Bridge Helena for in-person class days. If you live in Helena this is minimal. If you are traveling from outside the area, plan this into your budget.

Lodging if you are out of town

Path 3 and Path 4 require two to five days per month in Helena. Bridge 938 will try to place you with a host family for those days at no cost to you. Let Bridge 938 know early so arrangements can be made before your first class day.

    Pricing questions

    Quick answers.

Do I pay for everything up front?

Payment structure and timing is something to discuss directly with Bridge 938 when you enroll. The costs listed here are what the program involves, not necessarily what is due on day one.

Is there a registration or application fee?

No application fee to apply to Bridge 938. The only fees are the class costs listed on this page. Global University has its own registration fee which goes directly to them, not to Bridge 938.

What if I start Path 2 and want to take all nine classes later?

If you take individual classes first at $75 each and later decide you want all nine, talk to Bridge 938 about how the pricing works in that situation. The goal is to make it fair and accessible.

Does Path 3 really include seminary credit hours at no extra cost?

Yes. Completing the Paul to Timothy Institute (Path 3) qualifies you for six free credit hours toward a Master of Leadership and Ministry degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. That credit is included with the cost of the path itself.

Can my church pay for this?

Yes, and Bridge 938 encourages it. Sponsorship from your home church is one of the three financial assistance options. Many churches invest in their leaders this way. If your pastor is not sure about it, point them to the four paths overview.

What does Path 4 actually cost in total?

Path 4 starts at roughly $1,465 for the core items (nine PTT classes at $450 total, nine GU classes at $990, and the $25 CliftonStrengths assessment) plus the GU registration fee and any electives. It is spread over the full length of the program, not paid all at once.

    Questions about cost?

Talk to us before cost stops you.

If pricing is a concern, have the conversation first. Bridge 938 wants to find a way to make this work for you.

Vocational Ministry is the most comprehensive path Bridge 938 offers. It was prayerfully designed for one specific person: someone who feels called by God into full-time vocational ministry and wants to be genuinely prepared before they step into it.

This is not a casual commitment. Path 4 takes you through all nine Paul to Timothy Leadership classes, all nine Global University seminary classes, all nine Practical Ministry Sessions, a customized ministry internship, weekly one-on-one mentoring with a ministry coach, and a CliftonStrengths assessment and evaluation. It also fulfills the class requirements for Assemblies of God credentialing.

The goal of Bridge 938 from the beginning has been this path. The other three paths feed into it. This is where it all comes together.

“Path 4 has been prayerfully designed for those who are feeling called into vocational ministry. It is meant to provide practical leadership and ministry instruction that will also fulfill the credentialing class requirement as set out by the Assemblies of God.” – Bridge 938 Student Manual

    What you walk away with

Trained. Equipped. Ready to be sent.

Path 4 is designed to send you into ministry genuinely prepared, not just technically qualified.

    01

    Fulfilled AG credentialing requirements

Path 4 is specifically designed to fulfill the class requirements for Assemblies of God credentialing. You will come out of this path qualified, not just educated.

    02

    Real ministry experience through internship

Your internship is not a formality. It is customized to your calling, active, and involves your home church pastor. You will have actually done ministry, not just studied it.

    03

    A lifelong mentoring relationship

Your weekly mentoring coach is not just a resource for the duration of the program. Bridge 938 is built on relationships that last. The connections you build here are meant to last a lifetime.

    04

The confidence to step into your calling

Knowing you are trained, equipped, and prepared is not arrogance. It is what proper preparation produces. Bridge 938 wants to send you out confident in what God has built in you.

    Expectations

This is the most demanding path. That is the point.

These expectations apply across all Bridge 938 paths, but Path 4 requires the deepest commitment of all of them. Be honest with yourself about where you are before you start.

Attend Bridge Helena Sunday services regularly. You are being trained for ministry. Church is not optional.

Serve actively in the church. Your internship is part of this. Show up and lead.

Maintain a disciplined prayer life and journal daily. Ministry leadership runs on personal spiritual health. Build it now.

Complete all papers and assignments. Path 4 has written papers for both PTT and Global University classes. The work is real.

Show up to every class, session, and mentoring meeting. This is a full program. There is no casual version of it.

Communicate openly with your coach and leaders. They cannot walk with you through what they do not know about. Transparency is part of the training.

An honest word about Path 4

Path 4 is not for everyone right now, and that is okay. The question is not whether you are called. The question is whether you are ready to commit to the preparation that calling requires.

If you are newer to faith, start with Foundations. If you are active and want to grow, Leadership Training or the Paul to Timothy Institute may be the right next step on the way to Path 4.

Bridge 938 does not want you to fail. If this is the right time and Path 4 is the right path, we will invest everything into you.

    Common questions

    Straight answers.

Does Path 4 fulfill AG credentialing requirements?

Yes. Path 4 was specifically designed to fulfill the class requirements set out by the Assemblies of God for credentialing. Completing Path 4 means you have met those academic requirements.

Do I have to complete the other paths first?

Not required, but the natural progression is through Foundations, then into the Paul to Timothy Institute, which forms the core of Path 4. If you are coming in with a strong foundation already, talk to a Bridge 938 leader about the right entry point.

What do the Global University classes cost?

Global University classes are $110 per class plus a registration fee. The Paul to Timothy classes are $50 per class when enrolled in all nine ($450 total). Elective ministry classes are $25 each. CliftonStrengths is $25.

How long does Path 4 take?

The full Vocational Ministry path is a multi-year commitment given the volume of classes, papers, internship, and mentoring involved. Contact Bridge 938 directly for current cohort timelines and scheduling.

What if I cannot afford the cost?

Cost should not be the reason you do not pursue what God is calling you to. Bridge 938 has sponsorship, scholarship, and fundraiser options. The manual specifically states that financial assistance is available. Reach out and have that conversation.

What denomination is this connected to?

Bridge 938 is connected to Bridge Helena, which is an Assemblies of God church in Helena, Montana. The credentialing track fulfills AG requirements. Students from other backgrounds are welcome, but the credential structure is AG-aligned.

Ministry leaders who are already credentialed

If you already hold AG credentials or other ministry credentials, the Paul to Timothy Institute is designed to complement and deepen what you already carry. The manual specifically notes the value for credentialed leaders.

    Expectations

    This path requires real commitment.

Two to five days per month is a real ask. Bridge 938 will invest everything into you. Come ready to match that investment.

Attend Bridge Helena Sunday services regularly. Church is part of the program.

Serve in the church. Leadership is practiced, not just studied.

Maintain a daily prayer life and journal. Personal discipline is what makes leadership sustainable.

Show up to all classes and sessions. Your group is counting on you for the full curriculum.

Communicate openly with your leaders. If something is hard, say so. That is what growth looks like.

Plan ahead for travel if you are out of town. Host families are available. Let Bridge 938 know early.

    On the time commitment

Two to five days per month is more than Path 1 or 2. The Practical Ministry Sessions add intensive in-person time that is not just class time. It is formation time. This is intentional.

If you do not live in Helena, Bridge 938 will work with you to arrange a host family for the days you are here. The relationships built during that time are part of what makes this path what it is.

If the time commitment feels too heavy right now, Path 2 – Leadership Training lets you take individual classes at a lighter pace and build toward this.

    Common questions

    Straight answers.

What is the difference between Path 2 and Path 3?

Path 2 lets you pick individual Paul to Timothy classes. Path 3 takes you through all nine plus the nine Practical Ministry Sessions. Path 3 results in a certificate and seminary credit hours. Path 2 does not.

Do I have to complete Foundations first?

Not required, but it is the natural starting point. If you already have a solid personal faith foundation and are active in your church, you can enter at Path 3. Talk to a Bridge 938 leader if you are unsure.

What does the certificate qualify me for?

The certificate in practical ministry studies is a Bridge 938 credential. It also qualifies you for six free credit hours toward a Master of Leadership and Ministry degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.

How long does Path 3 take to complete?

Length depends on your pace through the nine classes and nine sessions. Contact Bridge 938 for current cohort schedules and estimated completion timelines.

What if I live outside Helena?

Bridge 938 will work with you to provide a host family for the days you need to be in Helena. Plan ahead and reach out before you apply so logistics can be arranged.

Can Path 3 lead into Path 4?

Yes. The Paul to Timothy Institute forms the core of Path 4 – Vocational Ministry. If you complete Path 3 and feel called to go further, Path 4 builds directly on what you have already completed.

    Targeted Ministry Skills

You are already serving. Now you want to serve better. Choose the specific Paul to Timothy classes that address the exact areas where you lead right now. No wasted time, no classes you do not need.

    What is Leadership Training?

Fill the gaps. Lead better right now.

Leadership Training is not a full program you have to commit to from beginning to end. It is a targeted option that lets you choose from the nine Paul to Timothy Leadership classes and take the ones that speak directly to where you are right now.

Think of it like this: you are a deacon who is great with people but struggles with conflict. Or you are a worship leader who needs help building a team. Or you are an elder who wants to understand how to manage finances in ministry. You do not need nine classes. You need two or three specific ones.

Leadership Training is designed for exactly that. You come in knowing where you need to grow, you pick the classes that address it, and you leave better at the thing you are already doing.

“This path is designed for those who have a specific desire to learn an aspect of leadership or management skills they are lacking in. Think of this path as a way to supplement where you are already at.” – Bridge 938 Student Manual

    Who it is for

This was built for you if…

You do not need to be starting from zero. Leadership Training is for people who are already in the game and want to get sharper in specific areas.

    Deacons, elders, and lay leaders

You hold a leadership role in your church and you want to be better at it. Leadership Training lets you pick the specific classes that strengthen exactly where you are serving.

Volunteers who want to lead better

You are serving consistently and people are looking to you, but you have never had formal training. One or two targeted classes can change how you show up for the people you serve.

    Ministry leaders filling specific gaps

You know your strengths. You also know exactly where you fall short. Whether it is conflict, team building, finances, or communication, there is a class for that specific thing.

Not sure which path is the right fit? Leadership Training is great if you are already active. If you are newer to faith or just starting out, Foundations is the better starting point.

    What is expected of you

    Leadership Training requires showing up.

These expectations apply to every Bridge 938 student regardless of which path you are on.

Attend Bridge Helena Sunday services regularly. Church is part of the program, not separate from it.

Serve somewhere in the church. Even a small role. Leadership is learned by doing.

Develop an active prayer life and journal consistently. Personal discipline is what makes everything else work.

Read the Bible daily. Build the habit. It does not have to be long.

Show up on time and respect deadlines. Your group is counting on you.

Communicate openly. If something is not working, say so. That is how growth happens.

    A note on commitment

Leadership Training is flexible in what classes you take, but it is not casual. When you commit to a class, you show up. Your instructor and your group are investing time in you. Bring the same to them.

If you finish your selected classes and want more, you can take additional classes or step into the full Paul to Timothy Institute for the complete curriculum and a certificate.

    Common questions

    Straight answers.

How many classes do I have to take?

There is no minimum. You choose the classes that fit what you need. Some people take one. Some take several. If you end up wanting all nine, you qualify for the reduced rate of $50 per class.

Can I take all nine and get a certificate?

Taking all nine Paul to Timothy classes alone does not result in a certificate. To earn the certificate and qualify for seminary credit hours, you need Path 3, the full Paul to Timothy Institute, which adds the Practical Ministry Sessions component.

Do I need to take Foundations first?

Not necessarily. Leadership Training is for people who are already active in church. If you have a solid personal faith foundation and are already serving, you can start here. If you are newer to faith, Foundations is the better first step.

How often do I meet in person?

Twice a month at Bridge Helena. This is consistent across all Bridge 938 paths at this level.

What do the classes actually cover?

The nine Paul to Timothy Leadership classes cover practical ministry leadership topics: leading with the Spirit, managing conflict, building teams, marriage and family in ministry, financial management, teaching and preaching, leading change, and more. Each one is designed for real-world application.

What if I want to go deeper after this?

Leadership Training is a great on-ramp to Path 3 – the Paul to Timothy Institute. If you complete all nine classes here and want the full curriculum, certificate, and seminary credit hours, that is your natural next step.
